Refugee Kids Get Much Needed Break At Summer Camp

This summer, WAM was able to sponsor three summer camps for refugee children, who were bused in from various refugee camps. For at least a couple days, they got to play games with other kids, get three meals a day, and hear about a message of hope. Local and American volunteers partnered to make this happen – as did your generous donations! Thank you for your help – you made a difference in the lives of these children!

The camps were such a success that we would love to sponsor more next year. We also noticed that the camp had only an inflatable water slide, which deflated on one of the days and the water, and slide, ran down the mountain, creating a big mess. The camp's director mentioned how they would love to get at least an above ground pool for the children to cool off in. The big dream is to eventually have an inground pool put in. Since they own the land, this would be feasible, if the money could be raised.  Until then, perhaps providing an above ground pool is something you or your church, or youth group might consider sponsoring next year? If so, please let us know - how it would bless these children!
